Nordlys
I started this project after a semester of hands-on ceramic work. Nordlys grew from that exploration — a study in glow, texture, and quiet form.
I used sketching and Gravity Sketch to explore shapes and moods, focusing on how light travels through ceramic volumes. These tools helped me sculpt a calm, expressive form.
A key part of the process was using SolidWorks to define precise parting lines for moulding, translating the sculptural form into a manufacturable ceramic piece without compromising its integrity.
The light glows softly through the ceramic, highlighting subtle thickness and form. It acts as both an object and an ambient presence in space.
